About these terms
These terms cover your use of the PitchShed browser extension and this website. By installing the extension or buying Pro, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use PitchShed.
What PitchShed is
PitchShed is a browser extension that changes how audio and video play back in your own browser tab: the key, the speed and a loop. It runs on your device. It does not download, record, copy or share the media you play.
Free use, the trial and Pro
Speed control is free, with no time limit. Every installation also includes a 7-day trial of the Pro features, which needs no payment details. After the trial, key change, A–B loop and song memory need an active Pro subscription. Pro costs $4.99 / month or $29.99 / year; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
Subscriptions and payment
Pro is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly, and it renews automatically until you cancel. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle takes your payment, calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT that applies, issues your receipt, and handles payment questions and refunds on our behalf. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.
Canceling
You can cancel at any time with the link in your Paddle receipt. You will not be charged again after you cancel. Refunds are covered on the refunds page.
Your license
A license key is personal to you. One key works on up to three browsers or machines at a time. Please do not share it or resell it. When a subscription ends or a payment is refunded, the key stops unlocking Pro. The extension checks your key with our license server when you activate it and after that at most once every 7 days. If the server cannot be reached, Pro keeps working for up to 30 days after the last successful check.
Using it responsibly
You are responsible for what you play and for having the right to listen to it. Do not use PitchShed to break the rules of a service or to infringe anyone's copyright. PitchShed does not bypass copy protection and is not built to.
Other websites and services
PitchShed works with web pages we do not control. A site can change at any time and stop PitchShed from working there. We try to keep up, but we cannot promise that it works on every site, all the time. PitchShed is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, Google, Microsoft or any other service it works with; their names belong to their owners.
No warranty, and limits on our liability
PitchShed is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using PitchShed after a change means you accept it.
