The five minutes you stop spending
A practice session often starts the same way: find the video, find the hard bar, set a loop around it, slow it down, and work out again which key you were singing in. That setup can take as long as the first few minutes of playing. PitchShed stores it for each song, so the setup happens once.
What a typical week looks like
On Monday you loop bars 9 to 12 of a solo at 70 %. On Wednesday you open the same video and click the icon, and the loop is already around those bars at 70 %. You raise the speed a notch, and that new speed is what comes back on Friday. Each session starts where the last one stopped.
What is not saved
PitchShed remembers the loop points, the key and the speed. It does not remember how far into the video you had played, because the loop points already mark the passage you were working on, and that is usually what you want back.
It also does not follow you between computers. The memory sits in the browser on the machine where you practiced, so a second computer starts fresh until you practice the song there.
If the settings do not come back
- You opened a different upload or a different page address, which counts as a different song.
- The Pro trial has ended and Pro is not active. Saved songs are kept untouched until you unlock Pro again.
- The tab has not had its icon clicked yet. PitchShed only wakes up in a tab when you click it.
